玄奘，唐代佛教学者、翻译家、佛教法相宗创始人，被尊称为“三藏法师”。中国唐代玄奘西行取经，历尽磨难，体现了中国人学习域外文化的坚韧精神。2016年9月4日，中国邮政在西安大慈恩寺举行《玄奘》邮票首发仪式，并于现场捐赠大慈恩寺整版《玄奘》邮票永久珍藏。西安大慈恩寺是1300年前，玄奘法师主持修建大雁塔并译经弘法的地方。
Xuanzang was a Buddhist scholar，translator in the Tang Dynasty, and the founder of Chinese Yogacara School. His journey to India was painstaking and reflected the strong determination in quest of Dhamma. On September 4, 2016, China Post launched the "Xuan Zang Memorative Stamp” at the Dacien Temple in Xi'an, and donated a full-page permanent collection of the "Xuan Zang" stamp to the Dacien Temple. The temple was the place where Xuan Zang in charged of construction of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and did his translation works here in 1300 years ago.
